Crafty Weekend

The weather was rainy (yes, it's January, and yes I live in Minnesota) this weekend, so it was the perfect weekend for staying home and crafting! I got out all my scrapbook supplies and the girls and I went to town. Amazing how one can get nothing done with three girls needing help though! However, I did manage to craft out a few things:)

First of all, you must head on over to "Oops I Craft My Pants" (Oh my gosh do you not LOVE that title??!!!). She has some adorable crafts to check out. One of my faves were these adorable soap bottles that she made with scrapbook paper and mod podge. Thankfully I keep all my soap bottles (why I don't really know, but how cool that I kept them:), so I made one to see how easy it would be. Do you love it? How fun and EASY, I am giving these to the girls' teachers for Valentine's Day.
I love the Valentine on it, "I was SOAPIN you'd be my Valentine". So fun!
I also wanted to make a quick Valentine banner for the hutch in the dining room. I cut out the hearts and letters with my Cricut machine and strung them. Fun and cheap!
I am loving all these fun Valentine crafts!

What a cute idea! Here's how you can make more foaming soap for those empty containers...

Fill bottom of container to about 1" w/either liquid Castile soap or your favorite liquid soap; gently fill the bottle to about 1" from the top w/water. If you used unscented Castile soap, add about 5-10 drops of a great essential oil like Tea Tree, lavender, rosemary, citrus, etc. (Tea Tree, lavender & rosemary makes it a great anti-bacterial soap.) Then shake & you're ready to go!

Where do you find the time?
Really, I want to know?
I need to know
...you don't sleep, that must be it. There I feel better knowing the truth.

Kim, that is exactly how I make our soap too!!

Messy- I don't watch much TV, which gives me time at night to scour blogs, and when I find something fun I write it down. I get an hour in the afternoon during naptime (I do daycare) to craft, along with weekends.

Hi Cara--I just found your blog via your dad's facebook page. I've only read the first few entries, but I love it! I'm not much into crafting these days but I do love to cook.

I started a blog last year. It's nothing fancy and I'd like to schoosh it up a bit. My blog is
