I had gotten this wooden tray from a thrift/antique store last year, and I LOVED the Americana theme, However, I am some what getting rid of that theme, so I decided to paint it, and stencil our last name initial, and the year we were "established", lol. Turned out great!
This one I bought this summer at an antique store also, but it was a very light yellow color that just did not go with the colors in my house. I spray painted it, and stenciled the number 5 on the side of it. I filled it with some of my tobacco tins that I collect and set it up on top of my cabinets in the kitchen. Looks much better!

Cara,
I'm loving what you did with the tray! I just bought one at Goodwill today so I might have to do something similar. :)
I also love the holder with the number stenciled on the side.
Such a cute idea with the tray! Never thought of that! ~ Ashley

Spray paint is amazing isn't it? I never knew you could paint wood and plastic with it until I started blogging and visiting blogs. Is there anything you can't do with it?...lol. Great job.
Very nice! I love adding letters and numbers to things, too!
