Emma #15

Today our beautiful Emma Jo turns 15.  Ugh.  Why do they have to keep getting older???

Emma has always been our sensitive one, when she was little, she was the one crying when Rachel got in trouble (and lets be real, that happened a LOT!!)
Now, she's the one that can sense when someone is "off", she'll be the first to ask if something is wrong, it's crazy!

This girl is CRAZY talented!  Calligraphy is her specialty and man, is it ever!  She loves to make holiday pics for me, and these were the cards she made for her friends....amazing!

She is very outgoing, has a quirky sense of humor, and just loves people.  She was always the shy one when she was little, so I love how outgoing she has become!

Emma is an amazing babysitter and truly loves kids.  She's the one bringing crafts to do with the kids she's watching.

She started swimming in 8th grade and loves it.  It has been so fun to watch her grow and improve each year!

Emma Jo, we love you SO incredibly much and are so proud of you, happy birthday sweet girl!!

Confirmation 2018

Another craaaaazy busy weekend is in the books!  With Rachel's confirmation on Sunday, we were supposed to have my family coming in on Saturday to stay the weekend.  Alayna had a volleyball tournament on Saturday so it worked great for everyone to come down and watch her play.  Of course mother nature had other plans...
Snowmageddon started Friday afternoon and snowed all.weekend.long.  It was ridiculous.  Saturdays tournament ended up getting switched to a different location, thankfully still local and these little chicks ended up placing first in the tournament!!

They played AMAZING and were so excited to win every single game!  This was their last tournament, so even though there was a blizzard outside, we all trekked to Marnanteli's for supper and drinks, it was a lot of fun getting to know the parents more.  We didn't get home until 8:30 and we crashed hard.

Sunday was not only Rachel's confirmation, but my birthday!  Brad made homemade caramel rolls and they all spoiled me with presents.  I finally got my Urban Southern bag and am in LOVE!

We didn't have to be to church until 1:15 or so, and we worried about the roads since it was still snowmageddon.  Thankfully they weren't too horrible.  The mass was really nice and it was a great afternoon!

I ordered my dress from Nordstrom (find it here) and got so many compliments!

We were all bummed that no one could come over for supper after, but again, the stupid weather.  Our good friends the Rothsteins came over and enjoyed tacos and cupcakes with us (and maybe a couple beverages).

This is the picture that Emma made for Rachel, so beautiful!

What a wonderful, crazy fun-filled weekend we had, but PLEASE mother nature, make the snow go away...

Easter 2018

Another wonderful Easter is in the books!  Brad had taken off Thursday and Friday off so he could tile Rachel's shower and the girls had Friday off.  As much as I wanted to, I couldn't take off since it was month end for us.  Brad and the girls went to Good Friday Mass and Friday night was just a low key night which was glorious!
Saturday was catch up day for me, I got some deep spring cleaning done and the usual laundry.  We were going to my moms for Easter so Will and Alayna helped me make the strawberry pretzel dessert.
Saturday night we did our normal routine of dyeing eggs.  Brad had to make sure to get his pose in, lol!

We always make fun of the girls and all their damn poses, so Rachel made Brad pose with her!

All I asked was for ONE normal pic.

Love this pic.

Sunday morning everyone was up early to search for their Easter baskets.  Apparently the bunny did a good job this year, everyone was happy!
After mass we headed over to my mom and her husbands for dinner, SO yummy!  It was such a nice relaxing afternoon...We left my moms around 3:30 and headed to the farm for round two.  I was so freaking full last night!

Of course we had to get some obligatory pics in!

And now I sit here staring at ANOTHER snow storm.  Seriously, we didn't get hardly any snow in Dec/Jan/Feb, and now we're getting pummeled.  Ridiculous.
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
