What We're Up To

Can't believe we're already coming to the MIDDLE of February!!  Sad to say I haven't even gotten my Valentines Day decor out yet.  Maybe this weekend...
January was actually a super relaxing month!  Typically volleyball tourneys haven't started yet, so it's just a super slow month for us and I love that after the hustle of the holidays.

Brad and I were able to get away the end of January for a quick 4 day trip to Orlando.  He had some fly miles to use up and we got a great deal on a Hilton Resort, so off we went!
Now I can't complain too much about the weather, because while we were gone it was in the minus digits for highs here in Mn.  However, in Florida the nicest day we had was 68, otherwise is was maybe 60, cloudy and windy most of the time which was a big bummer.

Our resort was beautiful, the food was great and the staff was amazing!  We literally did nothing for 4 days, haha!  This resort rooms were all mini apartments with a balcony, so the first day we went and got some groceries so we weren't eating out all the time.

We were only able to sit by the pool one day with sun, and it was glorious!

We met some super cute young couples and enjoyed hanging out with them.  The hot tubs were perfect because they were SO hot, which felt great with how cool it was out.

Our favorite night was having supper at Christini's.  It's funny because it's located in a strip mall, but once you walk it it's a super fancy place.  All the waiters wear tuxes.  The service was amazing and the food, oh my word!  SO good!  Worth every penny!

We had told them that this trip was a belated happy 20th anniversary for us, so they brought out a dessert for us and gave me a rose.  The owner came over and talked with us for about 15 minutes.  We will definitely be back!

Unfortunately we came home to the same frigid temps and thankfully made it home before a major storm dumped snow on us.

Alayna had her first tournament and the girls came in first place in their division!!  They started out pretty rough but ended up playing so much better, she was pretty pumped!

And lastly, this has been the girls the last couple weeks.  They missed 2 days of school last week because of the cold, 1 early out for the snow, and another day this week for the cold again.  They have been laaaaaaazy!  Josie however, is loving having them home!
